Last night at, like, two in the a.m. I pulled a freakin MASSIVE BLOOD ENGORGED tick off from behind my dog's ear. It was honestly one of the scariest moments in my life, seriously, not gonna lie. I know it sounds like a lame fear factor moment but 1) I hate ticks or any other sort of tiny parasitic creature. The idea of something tiny and hard to see that can FEED of my, or any other creature's, life force just SCEEVES ME to no end. Seriously, it's filthy, I'm freaking just thinking about it; 2) the thing seriously looked like a little flesh tumor on my dog, it was huge, and obese little lard balls that can only wiggle their helpless little legs are creepy. Sorry, don't know why it sceeves me so much but it does, even in WALL-E the obese people just floating around in their chairs with their nubby little fingers made me shudder. And I couldn't pick it with tweezers, I just kinda kept poking and prodding it until it got annoyed and fell off onto my floor. I freaked which made my dog freak and jump up. I shooed him out, picked it up with a plastic bag (just feeling the thick little mass with the plastic between my fingers and it was gross) and tossed it in the toilet and flushed. I vacuumed my entire room, and scrubbed my skin so hard I was glowing red and raw.
I haven't had a tick on or near me since fifth grade and now I've had one on me earlier in the season (it didn't bite into me, luckily, it was still flat) and one on my dog, two according to my brother.

Honestly I think he's, my brother, the one bringing them into the house. He's always romping about in tall grassy knolls and fields and coming home and lying on his bed. He manages to pick them off him before they bite down but he's obviously not doing any favours for the rest of the family if they crawl off him. I hope my sister doesn't get one. He's borrowing my sheets too which filths me out even more. When he comes home, I'm making him hand scrub them.
